Fun Fitness Classes
0-24 months & 2-3 years
WayBeyond offers an exciting place to bond with your little one and make new friends while having healthy fun together! These WayBeyond classes are loosely structured with time for free play as well as organized age appropriate activities. It is a great environment where new parents can interact with one another and encourage their children to be physically active and social!
Our fun equipment incorporates outrageous colors, smells, textures and shapes and invites children to jump, hop, slide, climb, crawl and throw a ball! They will experience an increase in confidence and strength, develop social and gross motor skills and gain spacial awareness through guided exploration.
3-4 & 4-5 years
In this WayBeyond class your child will be introduced to different movements including hopping, skipping, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, climbing, sliding, walking. Your child will practice these movements while changing their speed and direction. An important goal of this WayBeyond class is to encourage your child to practice movements they already know and motivate them to try new ones!
Lesson plans are designed to develop an understanding of concepts such as under, over, through, around while improving coordination and developing gross muscle, motor and social skills! They will begin to identify different parts of their bodies and learn how to move them during stretching and exercise. Within a fun packed hour, your child will have completed a full body workout and they won’t even know they have done it!
5 - 7 years
In this hour long class your child will discover that being physically active is fun at WayBeyond! Lesson plans are designed to combine basic movements they already know and put them together into one. Your child will catch, throw, learn to transfer weight from feet to hands, and balance on one foot then switch to the other. They will also stand and hold their own body weight for different periods of time. At this age, learning how to take direction and immediately put it into action is improved by an increased ability to pay more attention to detail.
Our trainers will help your child to develop the basic understanding of sequences and practice proper execution of movements. Our trainers will challenge their bodies and brains to try new tasks, accept difficult challenges and to learn a different vocabulary, such as hand and foot-eye coordination as well as names of core muscle groups. By enrolling your child in this class you’re helping to build healthy habits at an early age and most importantly, an insatiable appetite for living an active lifestyle!
7-9 years
WayBeyond is the perfect place for your eight and nine year old to feel like they are playing while our trainers cleverly create activities that will engage abdominals, incorporate and refine proper techniques and use of movement and improve performance! Our goal is to introduce the concept of depth perception and address the foundations of core strengthening and the basics of rotation. Our trainers will connect their previous introduction of height, distance, balance, body and space awareness and while helping your child apply it into an activity.
Young children who practice concentration and balance at an early age are getting a great foundation for many sports and activities! These WayBeyond classes are outrageously fun and by bringing your child into WayBeyond, you are ensuring they are on the right path to a healthy and active lifestyle!
9 + years
In this WayBeyond class your oldest will truly discover the value of being physically active! Your child will be given the tools to take their awareness of distance, direction, depth perception and speed as well as sports specific patterns and combinations and apply them into action outside of WayBeyond! Our trainers will increase aerobic capacity and core strengthening by encouraging them to use their body weight as a resistance force.
The goal for these WayBeyond fun classes is to concentrate on refining rotation and balance and getting your fifth and sixth graders to demonstrate proficiency in many areas of fitness! You will see improvement in strength and flexibility, as well as accuracy, control, correct body posture and most importantly self confidence! In an hour, your child will get an outrageously fun head to toe work out and create a positive body image!
